Mission Statement of The David Center
The primary purposes and objectives of this organization shall include, but not be limited to:
a. Providing guidance, education and support for families of children with autism spectrum disorders by creating a network of parents and professionals who may benefit by sharing experiences, information, and resources.
b. Training parents, family members, educators and health related professionals in the currently acceptable and effective treatments for children with autism.
c. Providing qualified professional therapists for delivery of services, including one on one behavioral therapies and socialization classes.
d. Developing and maintaining a resource library for use in education and treatment programs.
e. Creating and fostering greater public awareness of autism spectrum disorders through programs, publications, and public speaking activities.
f. Supporting efforts to raise funds for the treatment of, and research into the causes and consequences of autism.
